Papertrey Ink June 2013 Blog Hop Card Number Three

The Papertrey Ink June 2013 Blog Hop is going on here:
While looking at all these lovely blogs, I was inspired to do a little more stamping.

I decided I would take the new Round Repeat stamps and experiment. Instead of stamping "in the round", I thought I would stamp "on the edge".

This made a lovely border. I added just a little gold glitter and sentiment.
 Also a paper punched edge.

Then, I was done!

Thanks for looking...again!

Papertrey Ink June 2013 A Touch of Gold Take Two

Here is another take on the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge adding "a touch of gold"
My "bent" is to pair gold with red. Those colors seem to lead me to paper lanterns and festive flowers.

Thanks, very much, for stopping by!

June 2013 Blog Hop AND Make It Monday #122: Polka Dot Texture With Copic Markers

Welcome to the Papertrey Ink's June 2013 Blog Hop
This month the challenge is about adding touches of gold to your projects.
So here goes...

I was inspired by the pillow in one of the inspiration photos to add some gold glitter to the new PTI chevron cover plate.

I also decided to use this week's Make It Monday technique found here http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2013/06/make-it-monday-122.html
to color my flowers.

It will be lots of fun touring the blogs to see everyone's take on a "touch of gold".
In fact, I will be putting up another card shortly as well.

Make It Monday #121: Colored Vellum Flowers

This week on Papertrey Ink's MIM, Betsy Veldman showed us how to make BEAUTIFUL vellum flowers using stamps, dies, and inks. You should see her flowers. They are gorgeous!

When I think of vellum flowers, I think of weddings and vintage and lace...which led me to some of my grandmother's doilies and lace.

Then, I was inspired to make these flowers.

Which inspired me to stamp and emboss some lace. After that, I HAD to dry emboss using some swiss dots and linen impression plate. And of course some embroidered stamping.

Which then, led me to think, why not make a little window to let in the light?

 And that's what I did.
This was fun!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #120: Overlapping Ombre

This week's MIM was using the ombre effect in your card design. The challenge was kind of a stretch for me because I tend to gravitate toward using contrasting colors on a card.  Even after I starting stamping I wasn't sure I liked it - kept wanting to add some little blue flowers next to the red! I did have this idea, though, of flowers spilling over the top - going from dark to lighter shades. I even decided to do the leaves as well. (Maybe I wanted to add that green next to the red! haha)

After I die cut and layered a few flowers over the stamping, and then added some glitter, this card really made me happy! Plus I really love these Mini Blooms:-)
