Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop Marvelous Monograms

A little dresser painted (not by me) for a friend's granddaughter was my inspiration for this

little welcome card.

The precious baby girl, whose name is Mallory, was my inspiration for the hanging letter m.
Isn't that a cute name?

The Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop is all about Monogram Inspiration.

My daughter's name inspired the monogram on this tag.
Can you guess the name?
It's not Ann or Anne, but close to it...

Hop on over to see more marvelous makings!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #104: Handmade Pinwheels

Pinwheels are so happy. I love them! This week on on the PTI Make It Monday Challenge, Ashley Cannon Newell shows us how to make them out of all sizes (and materials) of cut squares. The Limitless Layers Square Die Collection from Papertrey Ink is just adorable. Five square dies. Four with different decorative edges. I cut two of the zigzag squares and glued them back to back.

And made this!

Pinwheels make me think of bicycles. So, I put them together and created this!

Celebrating 6 Years of Papertrey Ink

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 6 year anniversary! They are also revealing their new products for the month of February. Lots of creativity to enjoy!  Also there are contests. With prizes. Yay!

To read about today's product reveal and contest, go here:

Today's contest is about combining watercolors with stamping. I love both!
I used a watercolor brush with ink pads on top of heat embossed stamping.
I've been a little out of the loop lately and haven't been able to participate. My mom has had some health issues and much of my time is being spent helping her right now.

I decided to use this challenge as an opportunity. Why not make a card for my mom?

So, that's what I did!

Another Pillow Box for Make It Monday #102 On This Snowy Day

We've got snow, and more to come here in the eastern United States.
I've been thinking of Spring, and our garden:-) So I've made another pillow box with that in mind.

With PTI dies, I cut some of these.

Inked the edges.
 Cut then folded.

Stacked those dies together.
And made this...

Added a few die cuts, stamps, bookpaper, twine, and embossed velum.

To make this...
